As you can imagine, the holiday season is a difficult time for families in the legal process of bringing their abusers to justice. The courageous first step of getting out of abuse collides with the financial implications as the abuser was typically the family’s sole breadwinner. To help at this time of year, the Friends of the KCAC conduct a Christmas Sponsor-A-Family program that enables people to buy items on each family’s wish list compiled with caseworkers at the CAC.

To support our efforts, we are always looking for volunteers. Participation is simple and straight-forward…just let us know if you and/or organizations/companies you are part of are interested in:

• sponsoring a family (or part of a family),
• assisting with delivery, and/or
• helping us find sponsors.
